The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has successfully announced the results for ISC (Class 12) on 2-May-2024. The candidates were able to access their scorecards through the board’s official website (https://results.cisce.org) & Digilocker platform. Despite the controversies surrounding this year’s ISC board exams, resulting in the postponement of two papers, namely Chemistry and Psychology, the council ensured a fair and smooth examination process. As the curtains close on another academic year, it’s time to look back at the performances that painted this year’s landscape of ISC results. The ISC, renowned for its challenging curriculum and rigorous assessments, serves as a benchmark for academic excellence in India. Exploring the outcome of these examinations offers not only a reflection of the hard work and dedication of students but also provides insight into evolving educational trends and areas in need of enhancement.
This year, approximately 1 lakh students appeared for the board exams. The pass percentage is 98.19% and this is considering an average of all the streams together, i.e Science, Arts & Commerce. The council did not announce the name of the topper(s) as a measure of avoiding “unhealthy competition” among students. The most important to note, all the examinees who appeared for the ISC board exams did not had the experience of the ICSE(Class X) board exams due to COVID pandemic. This was their first experience giving a Board exam and that too, directly the ISC-class XII. This also tasted the nerves of the students, the feeling of the hall, the test-papers getting un-sealed in front of the students and the ambience, this is not a mock environment, the eerie feeling which the students won, and as mentioned, due to pandemic, the first time.
